The John Hanby Bonsai School was proud to have several students exhibit
trees in the Ginkgo Bonsai Award 2003, the most respected bonsai exhibition
in Europe.
John and the students meticulously prepared the trees, display tables
and accompanying accent plants - paying attention to the finest detail
for this prestigious exhibition.
John Hanby's large Taxus Cuspidata (Japanese Yew) was well received
in the exhibition, showing off its elegant design and extremely
high level of refinement.
The re-potting and positioning of the Yew was a very delicate operation
- with close attention paid to ensure the tree was perfectly balanced
and level in the new Japanese pot.
