We are pleased to announce that we have now published our class list that covers the first half of 2010. We continue to run the popular Open Workshops and Midweek Workshops plus workshops covering Junipers, Maples, Larch and Satsuki Azaleas.  We will also be holding a slab/rock planting class.

At the recent Pottery Class held here at Newstead, David Jones brought back the finished pots that were produced at the class back in August. 

This was one of the largest classes David has undertaken with 23 students involved over the weekend. Under David’s expert guidance pots of all shapes and sizes were caringly created by enthusiastic participants. Each student was then able to select their desired glaze colour for the finished pot.

The topic under discussion for this session was “An introduction to bonsai display”.

For many students this was their first attempt at tokonome display.
