…….well this is rapidly becoming the norm!!!
24 new students participated in our November Bonsai Beginners Course. Our 2-day Course appears to be getting more and more popular. This year almost 70 people will have completed our introductory class. It really is good to see so much interest in the hobby, and at the same time satisfying to know you are helping people progress and enjoy some success in looking after their trees.
Once again people had travelled from many different locations including as far south as Oxford.
John’s welcoming introduction to the subject was followed by a discussion and the mixing of various bonsai composts.
The afternoon session featured repotting and styling demonstrations with every student finally getting their hands dirty and repotting a tree.
It is rewarding to see how much they enjoyed the day and how all of them can’t wait for Day Two. The class has been divided into two groups for the second part so that John and his helpers can give more personal assistance as the students style their very own tree from raw material.
