Special Rock Planting Class (January 2008)
I had managed to acquire some shaped lava rock from Indonesia. The rocks appear to be a mixture of natural lava and fibre glass formed from pre-shaped moulds.
The class included the rock, keto and tuition but each student was encouraged to buy/bring their own planting material. The dull lifeless rocks underwent a complete transformation and some very natural, established looking landscapes were created. With students supplying their own material and ideas each creation was truly unique.
As the material develops further, and the rocks weather/age naturally these plantings can only get better.
