Walsall Studio Ceramics at Newstead
On the 1st and 2nd August Newstead was pleased to welcome David Jones of Walsall Studio Ceramics to carry out his annual bonsai pot-making class. This regular event has become very popular with students, many returning time and time again.
This was in fact the largest class David has ever undertaken anywhere with 23 students involved over the weekend.
Under David’s expert guidance pots of all shapes and sizes were caringly created by enthusiastic participants. Each student was then able to select their desired glaze colour for the finished pot.
Such is the popularity of this class (we had at least 5 very disappointed reserves) that we are thinking of organising a second visit for David later this year…possibly in October or November. Keep checking here for the announcement of further details.
