Online Ordering Terms and Conditions

Ordering and Shipping Information

Please note: carriage charges for products within the online shop are applied at the payment calculation stage of your purchase.

Currently - we are only able to ship within mainland UK - please contact us if you need a delivery outside of the UK.

All orders are securely packaged for transit and despatched usually within 24/48 hours from receipt of your order. If an order will take longer than 48 hours to be despatched we will contact you and advise you when your order will be sent.

We use a courier service for larger items and Royal Mail for smaller items. Delivery costs are dependant on weight. The cost for delivery on each item is shown within the description of the product or will be quoted to you seperately. It will then be added automatically once you are ready to pay for your item(s). Confirmation of delivery via our courier will normally require a signature.

All orders will be subject to a carriage charge and delivery prices shown are for the United Kingdom (UK) main land only. For all orders outside of the mainland UK, please contact us for shipping charges - each order will be priced accordingly depending on weight and location to be sent.


Ordering Bonsai or Plant Material

When we despatch Bonsai or plant material we ensure pots are sealed in plastic prior to being carefully packaged in reinforced boxes. These are entrusted to reliable couriers who will deliver your new tree within 72 hours of despatch.

Bonsai or plant material cannot be sent outside the European Union.

Dimensions are all approximate and the height of trees quoted is from the top of the pot to the apex of the tree.


Availability

John Hanby Bonsai make every effort to ensure availability of all products we sell; however, we cannot guarantee supply – we will do our best to offer alternatives if an item is out of stock or has been sold.


Returns

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase please let us know as soon as possible and we will either exchange it or give you a full refund on the conditions that goods are returned in the same condition as when received. For dry goods please return within 7 days of receipt and for Bonsai or plant material please return within 48 hours of receipt.


Damaged or Faulty Goods

We take every care to pack all parcels to a high standard to ensure your goods arrive safely securely and in perfect order. Recycled packing products are used where possible for all orders.

If your goods arrive damaged we will refund the full amount paid, or replace with goods equal to the value of the original purchase; however photographic evidence must be provided before refund can be given, please retain goods and packaging for collection.

Please make cheques or postal orders payable to John Hanby Bonsai.

Please make sure you include the appropriate carriage charge in the total amount payable. You can print off an order form from our Online Shop once you have registered on the site and chosen your items - please choose the postal order form, print this off and send it to us along with your cheque or postal order for the total amount.

  1. Cheque or postal order: Please make cheques or postal orders payable to John Hanby Bonsai. Your order will be dispatched once the cheque has been cleared which normally takes three working days. (please make sure you include the appropriate carriage charge in the total amount payable) Please do not send cash in the post. Products will be reserved until receipt of payment.


Terms & Conditions

Any use of "we", "us" and "our" refer to John Hanby Bonsai only. You can write to us at John Hanby Bonsai, Unit 4, Oaks Business Park, Oaks Lane, Barnsley. S71 1HT or send an e-mail to john@johnhanbybonsai.co.uk. This is also the address to write to if you have any complaints. "You" and "your" refer to the customer who places an order with us.

We reserve the right not to accept any order. Once your order is accepted by us, a contract will come into force, on the terms and conditions set out hereunder. We will try to deliver your goods as soon as practicable. You should inform us as soon as possible if you do not receive your goods within one week of placing your order or within one week of any estimated delivery date that we give you.

Please note that any dates quoted by us for delivery are estimates only. If we are unable to deliver your goods within 30 days of your order, you may cancel your order and get a full refund for those goods.

When you receive the goods, you should check them as soon as possible, and let us know within 7 x days of receipt if there are any problems. If possible, please retain all packaging until you are satisfied with the goods. You will be responsible for any loss or damage to the goods which occur after they have been delivered to you.

We will require payment of the price for the goods in full before we despatch them unless we agree otherwise in writing with you. All the goods that we supply will remain the property of John Hanby Bonsai until you have paid for them in full, including all delivery charges. If you sell the goods you agree to hold the sale proceeds upon trust for us until you have paid us for them in full.

Every effort is made to ensure that our prices and descriptions are accurate at the time that the information is published. If an error is found or if supplier's prices or products change, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of cancelling your order or reconfirming your order with the revised price or product.

You can cancel your order for any reason and get a full refund (less carriage costs) at any time before you receive the goods, or up to the end of 7 days after the day you receive the goods. x To cancel your order you should contact us within that time.

You may return goods for a credit or to exchange strictly in accordance with our published Returns Policy, and subject that in the event of a conflict between these terms and conditions and the Returns Policy, these terms and conditions shall prevail. Carriage charges are non-refundable where goods are supplied correctly by us.

We will not be liable for any delay in delivering the goods which is due to events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control or for any business losses. We accept no responsibility for losses incurred following delays imposed by international customs services where documentation is supplied as requested.

If we fail to enforce any of these conditions, that does not mean that we have waived any of our rights and we retain the right to enforce any of these conditions at any time. Disclaimer
