Topical Times – Yamadorii Spruce
This Spruce was originally collected off the Alps. I have known this tree for approximately 10 years. I carried out the original styling after which the tree was sold and now he is back with us again.
The tree was kept in my garden last year and grew really well…..you can see his bushy unkempt nature in the first picture. So now I decided the time was right for another styling.
The tree was thinned out and some unwanted branches were removed completely. Fine shoots were also cleaned out. Next the tree was totally wired by Derek…..one of my helpers.
It was then a case of repositioning all the branches and styling the tree. I am really pleased with the outcome. This is a tall elegant tree that now gives scant regard to his harsh upbringing in the bleak mountains. The heavily scarred break in his original trunk will always be a reminder of his past but the dramatic bends in his new trunk line chart his course to survival and success.
He is an inspiration to us all……………..
