Memory Lane – Christchurch Club Exhibition, New Zealand 2009
An earlier post illustrated New Zealand’s first National Bonsai Exhibition. At the side of this was an exhibition of trees belonging to members of the Christchurch Club who hosted the weekend convention.
In addition to judging the National Exhibition I was also asked to judge the club displays. It was a real pleasure to be able to talk to enthusiasts on the other side of the world about their trees.
They don’t have access to imported material like we do so many of their trees were created from seeds or cuttings…….a tremendous achievement.
